The church community shares in the joys and griefs of the wider community and prays for people regularly in church. We also offer those going through a difficult time the opportunity for a listening ear and personal prayer.

Prayer for healing

Several times a year, during the Sunday Eucharist, we offer prayer for healing with the laying on of hands and anointing. Throughout the year, a weekly prayer basket holds the private intentions of the congregation.

Visiting

We visit those who are housebound or in hospital, and can bring communion to them. Our Pastoral Network — arranged geographically into small groups with designated Link Persons — means members check in on one another each month, so that no one is overlooked and concerns can be passed on for further support.

At the end of life

The Vicar meets families facing terminal illness and conducts funerals regardless of religious affiliation, with continuing bereavement support afterwards. The names of those who have died are remembered at our All Souls’ Requiem, around 2 November each year.
