Running since it reopened in September 2021, our Memory Café meets every Thursday morning from 10.30am to 12pm in the church. We welcome anyone experiencing loneliness, living alone, or living with memory difficulties — and carers are very welcome to come along too. A local residential dementia home sends regular participants, and we typically gather around thirty-five guests each week.

Our volunteers prepare refreshments and help everyone feel at home. Activities vary from week to week — quizzes, art, gentle fitness, community singing, piano music, and occasional theatre performances by the Questors — and we screen special events together, too.

The Memory Café is followed at noon by a very short, dementia-friendly time of prayer in the church, for anyone who would like to stay.
